Hello there! My name is Simon Nilsson and I'm currently a student at The Game Assembly in Malmö. I started my journey as a game programmer over 10 years ago at LBS Lund and I have been developing my programming skills ever since. During my time at TGA I've mainly acted as a systems programmer, but I'm also interested in trying out tools and gameplay.
My history with games stretches back even further, starting with educational computer games and Banjo-Tooie on the N64. The games closest to my heart are Halo 3 and Overwatch, as I always played them with friends, Hollow Knight and INSIDE, for the fantastic visuals and silent storytelling, and Undertale and Baldur's Gate III for their rich story and meaningful choices.
In my spare time I consume a lot of entertainment in the form of films, shows, and books. I tend towards fantasy, but other genres are fine too. I'm currently enjoying the show Shōgun and the Mistborn trilogy of books. I also like playing and watching other people play video and tabletop games, my favorite creators in those spaces being the Game Grumps and Critical Role.
